Adidas Metalbone
Adidas Metalbone is an entirely new series for 2021, based on last year’s model AdiPower SOFT. The series contains several exciting news. With the help of included weights that Adidas calls Weight & Balance System, it is possible to adjust weight and balance by up to 12 grams.
For the first time, Adidas is implementing the Octogonal Structure technology, a reinforcement in the upper part of the frame to make it more rigid and responsive. For each racket sold, Adidas plants 3 m² of forest according to the Green Padel concept.
The Adidas Metalbone consists of three models; Adidas Metalbone, Adidas Metalbone CTRL, and Adidas Metalbone Youth.
Adidas Metalbone 2021
This is the long-awaited sequel to AdiPower SOFT, which will be played by WPT star Ale Galán from Spain.
It’s a racket for the attacking player who prioritizes power. It has a diamond shape, high balance, and a sweet spot located in the face’s upper part.
The racket has a low weight of 345-360 g, which can be modified with the included weights. It comes with two red weights that weigh 1 gram each and four metallic colored weights that weigh 2.5 grams each. With all the weights mounted, the rack weighs about 360 grams and has a medium to high balance.
The surface is made of aluminum-reinforced carbon fiber, and the core consists of EVA Soft Performance, just like last year.
New for this year is the Octogonal Structure, a carbon fiber reinforcement that makes the upper part of the racket extra stiff. It should help generate a higher swing speed and better response in hard shots.
Another news for 2021 is that Adidas has abandoned the rough structure on the surface and instead uses a sandpaper-like structure.
Adidas Metalbone CTRL 2021
This is a more easy-to-play version of the Adidas Metalbone, a brand new model for 2021.
This is a racket for the player who prioritizes control. It has a round shape, medium balance, and a sweet spot located in the middle of the face.
The racket, just like Metalbone, has a low weight of 345-360 g that can be modified with the included weights. It comes with two red weights that weigh 1 gram each and four metallic colored weights that weigh 2.5 grams each. With all the weights mounted, the racket weighs about 360 grams and has a low to medium balance.
The surface is made of aluminum-reinforced carbon fiber, and the core consists of EVA Soft Performance.

Is this the sequel to the Adidas AdiPower CTRL? No. AdiPower CTRL remains in the range. The difference between the two models is that Metalbone CTRL has a harder surface and a softer core. Metalbone CTRL offers more feel and speed with looser shots, while AdiPower CTRL offers more response and power in harder shots.

Adidas AdiPower uses 2021 the same technologies that have made the series so successful so far.
